The Medical Billing and Coding program at More Tech Institute in Miami provides hands-on training from experienced instructors. Our hands-on program provides students with the skills to perform a variety of medical insurance-related functions in a medical and/or insurance office setting.

These tasks include organizing, analyzing, and technically evaluating health insurance claim forms as well as coding diseases, surgeries, and other medical procedures for billing and collection.

Program Objective

The Insurance Coding and Billing program provides theoretical & practical training in the field of coding and billing. The student will learn the procedures and functions within a medical office.

Program Length

Duration of this program is seven hundred twenty (720) clock hours. The student has 36 weeks to complete the program.

The students will learn to make appointments, referrals, billing, and collecting and managing medical records. In addition, the student will also learn the medical code of ethics & laws. Graduates will be qualified to hold entry-level positions in a variety of Healthcare facilities as Medical Record Coder, Coding Technician, or Coding Clerk.

This is an introductory course to the field of medical terminology, including basic word structure and the use of medical and technical dictionaries. Students identify components of medical terms and perform analysis and reconstruction of terms. Students learn operative, diagnostic, therapeutic, symptomatic, and surgical terminology of all body systems.
